This morning, a serious accident occurred in Buenos Aires: two cars were involved in a head-on collision on the Nicolás Avellaneda Bridge, near Suárez Street. Due to the force of the impact, both vehicles suffered severe damage. As a result of the crash, three people, two men and one woman, were hospitalized in serious condition at the Argerich Hospital. The accident happened on a wet road, which may have been the cause. Police were forced to close the affected stretch of road. One of the cars, a Chevrolet Astra, was completely destroyed. The man inside was alive but trapped. The Buenos Aires Fire Department crew freed him and placed him on a rigid board for transport to a healthcare facility with a diagnosis of multiple trauma. The second vehicle, a Nissan Tiida, was carrying another man who was unconscious but had vital signs. He was also taken to the aforementioned hospital with multiple trauma. In the same vehicle, rescists assisted an older woman who was also unconscious. The Fire Department crew performed the final maneuvers to free her, and she was also taken to Argerich with multiple trauma.
